In the French Quarter right off of Bourbon Street is this place that was recommended to me for authentic Nawlin’s cuisine.
On the menu i noticed a local favorite, Alligator Meat! I had to try it..
Its taste is a mix between Chicken and Pork with a hint of Shrimp in it, but the texture is wild.. its exactly how the creature looks, very very hard to chew, not too much juice in it so it drys out and becomes a hard to swallow piece of Gator. I doused it in Louisiana hot sauce to finish what i didn’t want to waste, but man.. it really gives you a visual of a pre-Jurassic creature when you chomp down on it.
